More About Our Pastoral Staff

Dave Johnson | Senior Pastor dave.johnson@rolchurch.net

Pastor Dave came to River of Life in 1993 as our Senior Pastor. He graduated from Denver Theological Seminary before coming to River of Life. Pastor Dave teaches God’s Word with contagious enthusiasm and zeal. He encourages River of Lifers to practically apply his teaching to their daily lives and to live out their faith with both passion and purpose. God has filled Pastor Dave with an abundance of grace and wisdom that keeps River of Life focused on Christ and grounded in God’s Word.

Pastor Dave and his wife, Ann, have five children and reside in Elk River.

Greg Gangwish | Senior Associate Pastor  greg.gangwish@rolchurch.net

 Pastor Greg joined our staff in February of 2011 as our Senior Associate Pastor. He comes with a passion to help people understand the love of Jesus Christ and equip them to in turn help others understand the love of Christ. Pastor Greg brings thirty years of experience in ministry using his gifts of leadership and administration. He graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary and is ordained by the Evangelical Free Church of America.

Pastor Greg and his wife, Carol, have two adult daughters and three grandsons.

After 28+ years as an electrical contractor, Pastor Bob was called into the ministry and subsequently ordained by the Evangelical Free Church of America. Since then he has had a passion for leading people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and a sincere desire to help people grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord.

Pastor Bob joined our staff in 1998 and is the father of our Senior Pastor, Dave Johnson. Pastor Bob and his wife, “Grandma Ann,” reside in Big Lake and enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Mike Metkowski | Pastor of Family Ministries mike.metkowski@rolchurch.net

Mike started with River of Life in December of 2009 as our Student & Family Ministry Director.  Mike has been ordained and licensed for 15 years and has been doing teen and family ministry for over 17 years.  His passion is to see people's hearts changed by Christ, and doing life together with them. 

Mike is married to an awesome woman, Carry, his wife of over 20 years. Together they have three children, Tyler, Jacquelyn and Constance. 

Michaela Langlais | Director of Children & Family Ministries michaela.langlais@rolchurch.net

Michaela Langlais joined the River of Life team in September of 2009.  She comes to River of Life with over 10 years in Children's Ministries as both a volunteer and staff member.  She has a passion for kids and their families to know Jesus, deepen their relationship with Him, and to be grounded with God's word.  Michaela has a great gift in bringing staff and volunteers together as a team and equipping them to serve in ministry.

Michaela and her husband, Tom, have three boys and reside in Elk River.
