Kinetic (AKA Student Ministries)

Welcome to Kinetic at River of Life. These pages are designed to provide youth of River of Life, Elk River, MN and surrounding communities with information about our student ministries. The students range from 6th to 12th grade and meet at various times throughout the week.

Kinetic Groups

• Force (7th & 8th grade)
• Rush (9th - 12th grade)

Kinetic at River of Life is a thriving community of 150+ junior and senior high students from Elk River and surrounding communities. There are many ministries geared towards the students, with the ultimate goal of bringing students closer to God.

The key components of Kinetic at River of Life are to:

• reach out to students in the greater Elk River area with the life-changing power of the gospel.
• provide students with the opportunity to become mature Christ followers.
• prepare students to meet the world's challenges in a Christ-centered manner.
• empower students to discover and utilize their spiritual gifts.
• equip parents to fulfill their God-given role as spiritual leaders.

We seek to accomplish the objectives above by guiding students through four levels of involvement and spiritual growth. This is done by offering events and activities that meet students where they are and direct them to a deeper relationship and commitment to God and his work.

Sunday Morning

BIC-The Bible Instruction Course is designed for youth in grades 7-9. Some of the highlights of this curriculum include becoming acquainted with the scriptures, methods of Bible study, understanding of basic Bible theology, essentials of the Christian faith and most important, how to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. BIC is held during the 10:00 service on Sunday mornings beginning September 16.

Missions - Outreach

Kinetic will be doing monthly outreach events this year in our community and surrounding cities, and one of the networks we’ve decided to work with is Rivercenter.  Every third Thursday of the month, from 3:30 – 6:00 pm, we will be meeting at the Cornerstone Car Wash in Elk River, working with their Harvest Outreach program, handing out food to the needy in our community. Cornerstone is located at the corner of Hwy 10 & 17rst Ave. Please give us a call at 763-441-7527 ext. 20, to join us!
